It's a small world, indeed. Believe it or not, the winner of this year's Grammy for Song of the Year, the Dixie Chicks' "Not Ready to Make Nice", has a direct connection to our little island. Guam resident Pat Wolff, known best for his work with conflict resolution organization Inafa' Maolek, informed KUAM News that his brother-in-law was a co-writer on the song, along with the three members of the popular country group.

CBS's coverage of the 49th Grammy Awards aired on KUAM-TV11 today.

Dan Wilson, who reportedly is married to the former Diane Espaldon, contributed to the song that also won in part for Record of the Year and Best Country Performance by A Duo or Group with Vocal. His wife is the daughter of the late Dr. Ernesto Espaldon and Leticia Espaldon, and sister to Jim Espaldon, a freshman Republican senator in the 29th Guam Legislature.

Wilson, Wolff said, has a three member band of his own and writes songs for other groups, including the Dixie Chicks.
