CNMI, Guam delegates attend State of the Union address
CNMI Delegate Gregorio Sablan, a Democrat, and Guam Delegate James Moylan, a Republican, were on the House floor during President Biden’s State of the Union speech in D.C.
CNMI Delegate Gregorio Sablan spoke with KUAM’s Thomas Manglona immediately after Biden’s speech.
“It was strong. It was a very strong address. His message was clear. His work on the economy and he addressed the economy, jobs, inflation, education, investments in manufacturing…he addressed climate change, the environment, the unfair tax system right now, education, child tax...he wants to make those things permanent,” said Sablan.
Moylan was not available for comment but shared on social media that he invited Sinajana resident Linda Perez to be his guest at the event. Perez, he says, is a downwinder and is in D.C. seeking justice for the harm caused by nuclear testing in the region.
