Have you ever had an encounter with a jellyfish or a Man-o-War?

Well, experts have been getting reports of sightings and their stings hurt.

The public is being cautioned when heading out into our waters this time of year.

Biologist Brent Tibbatts confirmed Indo-Pacific Man-o-War were reported in the waters around Guam last weekend.

The Department of Agriculture’s Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources reminds the community to be on the look out.

Man-o-War are known to frequent our region during the months of November through February.

A reminder that they can still sting even if washed up on the beach and dead.
