The Guam Department of Corrections is getting some much needed help for the prison.

Fourteen new correctional officers were welcomed to the team.

A graduation ceremony was held at the Rihga Royal Resort in Tamuning Wednesday morning.

Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio had opening remarks and Department of Corrections Cadre Joey Pocaigue was the keynote speaker.

Multiple island dignitaries also attended the ceremony.

The new batch is sure to assist the prison with its current manpower shortage. This as the prison population continues to increase.

Congratulations to the new correctional officers!
