Guam residents are invited to do their part in preventing medication misuse by taking part in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, April 26.

It’s a chance to clean out your medicine cabinet and safely dispose of expired, unused, or unneeded prescription drugs. Health officials said removing old medications from the home can help prevent accidental poisoning and substance abuse, especially among children and teens.

The initiative also helps protect our environment by keeping harmful substances out of the water supply.

It's a small step that makes a big difference in keeping our families and communities safe.

To participate, visit www.DEATakeBack.com to find a collection site near you in Guam or the CNMI.

Drop off medications anonymously, no questions asked.
